We take the survey data of 2002 on the income distribution of China's urban household as a basis, and employ the quantile regression analysis to discuss the relationship between urban residents'education yield and conditional distribution of income. It shows that the corresponding education yield is relatively low on the quantile of high income conditional distribution. That is, education yields fall with the improvement of income level; on the other hand, the introduction of different types of control variables in revenue function will affect the estimates of average education yields, which also affects the distribution of the education returns to a certain extent.
