The article Oppose Book Worship written by Mao Zedong between 1920s and 1930s was to oppose some wrong tendencies prevailing in Communist International and CPC, such as taking Marxism as a doctrine, sanctifying the experience from Russia revolution and in particular the doctrinarism existing in the Chinese Red Army. Mao Zedong claimed that people should be established as the subject of China revolution and construction. All of our practices should take the fact as beginning. We should seek truth from facts, through investigating and studying the facts among the mass. And the truth we got should be tested by people's practice.
