英语语境:
The online supervision of public opinions has many merits: full and open expression of public opinions, rapid catch of the web cam's thought for the party and the government, promoted individuality and the citizen's consciousness of being masters, obvious benefits to the social stability, restraint on unhealthy practices and promotion of social transparency. However, as the double-edged sword, the network supervision of public opinions also has many limitations and deficiencies. In particular with the proposal of the concept of “harmonious society“, it becomes an important and urgent issue for the government as well as the news media to solve the issues such as how to guide and manage the network supervision of public opinions, and how to seek favorable conditions and avoid unfavorable ones.
