State trading enterprises are enterprises or institutions which enjoy the privileges granted by the state license law or the Constitution and exercise such privileges in purchase or sales activities so as to significantly affect the level or direction of imports and exports.State trading enterprises can easily become a tool for government intervention in trade because of the close relationship with government, the particularity of the operation mode and the privileges which other enterprises are unable to enjoy.There is a reson for the existence of State trading enterprises.Our country should develop state trading enterprises and improve the relevant legislation within the framework of the WTO's state trading rules.
