The current study on the administrative division of China is mainly based on normative analysis or case analysis and summary, and is lack of a recognized theoretical system to support.There are many inconsistent and possibly conflicting conclusions and suggestions on the reform of administrative division in new China because of the different viewpoints of current research.But the reforms are in the process of searching for theoretical support while being implemented.The inconsistency and lag of theory may lead to the reform practice being at a loss.
