In 1950s, the teaching of Ancient Chinese was carried on unsystematically when it mainly dealt with the primary problems such as the nature of the course. The Teaching Syllabus published in 1956 was regarded as a symbolizing achievement of this period. In 1960-70s, teaching was united with research works and the book of Ancient Chinese edited by Mr. Wang Li topiced with three-in-one combination. Since the 80s the teaching of Ancient Chinese has been re-decomposed and the teaching research has been based mainly upon teaching practices.
