英语语境:

There is a long national boundary line in the western part of China. The national boundary line has a duality in the history. On the one hand, it is a place for mutual marketing and trading between countries and nations and thus helps promote the cultural communication and social prosperity of both sides. On the other hand, the frequent military activities in this region hampered the social development. Until 1980s, with the ebb and flow of the national boundary line, the effect of military always surpasses that of the trade.
