There are three stages in the development of the principle of the ownership of finding lost property from the West Zhou Dynasty of ancient China to the Republic of China in the early 20th century, in which two lines of the deep-rooted legislation inside our nation are hinted. One is from natural revolution, and the other is from the imitation of modern western legislation practicve. A probe into those traditional resources may be a good try for today's legislation of Civil Law Code of PRC.
