汉语语境:
统一完善的原产地规则是自由贸易区成功运行的关键。然而，中国—东盟自由贸易区(CAFTA)现行的原产地规则仍存在诸多问题。原定于2004年6月30日之前完成的原产地标准的相关谈判未能取得实质性进展，更使得CAFTA前途迷雾重重。CAFTA的特殊性决定了在制定原产地标准时不可能简单地照搬国外模式，如何完善原产地标准，使之符合CAFTA的发展要求并与国际接轨，已经成为迫切需要解决的重要问题。
英语语境:
The rules of origin is of great importance in the operation of FTAs. However, the rules of origins for China—ASEAN FTA still have many problems. The relevant negotiations about origin criteria scheduled to be finished before June 30, 2004 have failed to make substantive progress, which means an uncertain future for CAFTA. The particularity of CAFTA has made it impossible to simply imitate foreign mode. It is urgent that the origin criteria accord with the demand for the development of CAFTA and kept in line with international standards.
