The research on the intergeneration mobility of career is an important branch of the research on social stratification and mobility. In recent years, with the continuous development of the theories and research methods in the social mobility research field, many new statistical methods are introduced into this field. Based on three types of research paths, this study classifies and compares the theories of social mobility, makes comments on the historical development of the empirical research about the intergenerational mobility of career, and summarizes the latest progress in the research about intergenerational mobility of career in China.
