In the past century in China, there has been a special disciplinary interaction between sociology and anthropology.On the one hand, sociology has adopted the anthropological research method, including participant observation and comparative method, and stressing on the qualitative research on small communities.On the other hand, anthropology has transferred its research focus from other cultures to Han culture, i.e.getting involved in researching the Han communities especially the rural society.
