According to the tradition, there were two marriage patterns in Chinese countryside —patrilocal residence (living in husband's home) and uxorilocal residence (living in wife's home)．The mainstreaming pattern was the former one．The latter was rather rare, and its only form was uxorilocal marriage． But settlement patterns after marriage have taken place new changes in J Village since 21st century; the uxorilocal marriages increase rapidly． These changes reflect not only the supply and demand relation on rural marriage market, villagers'rational consideration of marriage benefits, but also the change of the clan culture and equal gender culture.
