In the field of aesthetics, aesthetic sensibility and aesthetic rationality are two associated core concepts. Through intentional aesthetic activities, natural sensibility is turned into aesthetic sensiblity, which is manifested in formal sensibility and symbolic sensibility. Aesthetic rationality is based on aesthetic sensibility. It is the form of reationality which includes and eludes imaginative function and value of freedom and appeals to intution. Aesthetic rationality focuses on the meaningfulness of aesthetic activities and represents the poetic wisdom of being. Therefore, both aesthitic and artistic activities reflects the brilliance of easthetic sensibility and aesthetic rationality.
