高昌是汉、胡杂居之地。根据高昌把部文书及出土的伏羲、女娲绢画，结合先秦佚书的有关记载，以汉人为主体的高昌国崇祀的天神就是昊天上帝，伏羲、女娲合体像就是昊天上帝的人格化形象。袄教天神大坞阿摩、丁谷天等虽然都已进入高昌万神殿，仍属胡人信仰，仅占次要地位。

According to Gaochang documents and the unearthed silk picture of Fuxi and Nvwo with the relevant records in pre-Qin period, the Gaochang Kingdom with a major population of Han worshiped Haotian God, the combined picture of Fuxi and Nvwo was Haotian's humanized image.
