格托基本的内涵就是隔离区，是相对封闭、自给自足的少数族裔的聚居区，指的是城市中的一条街或一个街区，分出来作为强迫少数族裔居住的法定地区，有犹太格托、黑人格托等，华人在海外的聚居地一般被称为是唐人街。

英语语境:

Ghetto actually means separation areas, where somewhat isolated and self-sufficient ethnic groups live. To be more specific, it refers to a street or a block in cities legally designated to be resided by minorities. There are Jews Ghetto, black Ghetto, Chinatown (agglomerations of oversea Chinese people), etc.
