从整体上来看，金沙江流域青铜文化是一种流域文化，包括了滇西北、川西徙、笮都文化，滇西巂、昆明文化，滇东南滇文化和川西南邛都文化等区域性文化。自新石器晚期以来，各区域类型之间已出现诸多文化因素的相互吸纳以至部分文化因素的整合，而且日益增长，在各类型文化的交互作用中不断强化，并向着稳定化方向发展，形成金沙江流域青铜文化的共同传统。

On the whole, the bronze culture in Jinsha River Valley is a kind of valley culture which includes Si and Zuodu cultures in northwest Yunnan as well as western Sichuan, Xi and Kunming culture in western Yunnan, Dian culture in southeast Yunnan, Qiongdu culture in northwest Sichuan.Since the Late Neolithic Age, a steady cultural interation trend have been taken place. After the integration and absorption of the cultures among different regional cultures, all of these formed the co-tradition of Bronze culture in Jinsha River Valley.
