In the 1930-40 s, the school of sociology put forward the concept of birth control so as to solve the problem of population in China.Their reflection and practice as well as two controversies about birth control caused people to get to a common view on this issue, which pushed forward the beginning of birth control in both theoretical level and practice level.It is the foundation and activities of Peking Mother and Child Care Organization that initiated the practice of birth control in China.
