Traditional Chinese medicine is the summing-up of experiences of struggling against diseases by Chinese peoples during thousands of years, which has formed its unique theoretical system. The theory of emotions is an important component of psychology of traditional Chinese medicine. The emotion of anger, as one of the seven emotions, plays very important role in the occurrence, development and turnover of diseases. This article analyzes the physiological basis of the generation of anger emotion, the multiplicity of anger emotion, the variety and treatment of diseases caused by anger emotion through collection and summing-up of literatures involving anger emotion. The anger emotion makes qi, blood, essence and fluid as its physiological basis, and it can be influenced by climatic and social factors. Anger emotion has multiplicity; there is constitution which is easy to be angry; anger emotion often appears as a symptom in liver disease and epilepsy etc. ; Anger emotion is a etiological factor; Anger emotion is an incentive for the recurrence of many diseases and occurrence of succeeding diseases; anger emotion can also be used as a therapeutic tool to cure emotion diseases such as depression syndrome and laughter syndrome. The diseases caused by anger emotion are widespread, involving clinical departments as internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatry, andrology, orthopaedics and traumatology, ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, psychiatry etc.
