In the manorial system of Western Europe in Middle Ages, method of land cultivation and management changes during the tenant proceeding process of social institution. During earlier Middle Ages, lord and tenant construct economic and social relationship on the basis of lord's permitting tenant the use of land in exchange for tenant's labor and services. After the rise of tenancy, lord divides his own land into smaller ones for renting so as to maintain the stable economic income.
