Advertising signs forms a system of significations. The key point of this system is the generation and conveyance of meaning. From the perspective of communication studies, advertising in nature is an operation of signs: from the micro point of view, every advertisement conveys the information of the commodities and services through verbal and nonverbal signs; from the macro point of view, both the planning and the marketing of advertisements aim to add cultural taste and mental value to the productions by creating meaning through signs.
