深喉，是1972年美国“水门事件”中向《华盛顿邮报》记者鲍勃·伍德沃德和卡尔·伯恩斯坦透露幕后信息的秘密线人的代号。《华盛顿邮报》的编辑霍华德·西蒙斯，借用当时正在上映的色情电影《深喉咙》之名，作为这位秘密线人的绰号——“深喉”。直到25年后，美国联邦调查局前副局长马克·费尔特才承认，他就是“深喉”。
英语语境:
Deep Throat is the code name of the secret informant who provided information to Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of The Washington Post in 1972 about the involvement of United States President Richard Nixon's administration in what came to be known as the Watergate scandal. The editor of The Washington Post, Howard Simons, borrowed the name of of a pornographic film which was on then as the nickname of the informant. It was not until 25 years later that the former Federal Bureau of Investigation Associate Director Mark Felt admitted that he was that "Deep Throat".
