电视纪录具有双重性。一方面，镜头前的现实可能是人为安排的“现实”，而并非真正的事实。但这并不意味着它不能反映或表现出事物或生活整体的“本质真实”。另一方面，即使是现实生活的实况转播，一如体育的现场转播，也有可能并没有反映出现实本身的“真相”。因此，电视纪录，哪怕是“实况录像”也与操作者的技术性操作，与社会文化制度的不同传统、不同规范，与电视机构主体性的制约及导向作用等主体性因素密切相关。
英语语境:
TV recording is two-sided.On the one hand, reality showed on screen might be artificial arrangements rather than the true reality. But that does not mean it can not show or exhibit the very nature of things. On the other hand, even the live record of life such as live sports broadcast, may not fully reflect the reality. Thus, TV record, even if live recording, is closely related to subjective factors such as technical operations, cultural traditions, social norms, constraints as well as guidance of television organization subjectivities.
