According to the running condition of academic journals in China, the study discusses the dual running mode of academic journals with the function of providing readers the products (journals) and offering publishing service to the authors. The latter is a paid service based on the journal publishing cost, which is available to alleviate the contradiction between publishing resources limit and authors publishing needs, and is able to adjust the relationship between the authors and the editors and improve the running condition of academic journals.
