头韵是英语中一种常见的语音修辞格，在各种文体中被广泛应用。但因为汉语中没有相应的修辞格，因此在汉译过程中会有损失。就英语头韵的汉译而言，刘宓庆认为，语言深层结构和表层结构间不存在双语转换的信息通道，因此翻译损失就不可避免了。
英语语境:
As a phonological rhetorical device, alliteration is widely used in English texts. However, there is no corresponding rhetorical device in Chinese. Therefore, translation loss is inevitable. When it comes to translation of English alliteration, according to Liu Miqing, there is no phonological transfer channel between the surface structure and the deep structure, hence translation loss is inevitable.
