新闻摄影采访是摄影记者获得图片新闻的主要途径，是摄影报道成败和质量高低的决定性环节。但由于新闻摄影的报道对象(具有形象价值的新闻事实)、传播形态(附有少量文字说明的照片形式)、传播性质(视觉新闻)、技术手段(拍照)等的特殊性，它的采访具有不完全等同于文字新闻采访的特点。记者在新闻摄影采访过程中应当把握好三个步骤：观察中发现，等待中捕捉，构思中提炼。
英语语境:
Photojournalism is the main way for photographers to get news pictures and it's the decisive step of photo reports'results and quality. However, because of the special characteristics of subject of news photography, communication form, communication properties and techniques, the way of interview is not the same as interviews of text news. In the process of photojournalism, journalists need to follow three steps: finding news values in observation, capturing during waiting and extracting key points in conception.
