By analyzing the excitation unit of asynchronous synchronous generator, the following principles are proved: when excitation is supplied by a self-determined voltage inverter with high-frequency carrying waves and wide modulating pulses, the current frequency and voltage of excitation windings can be controlled independently at a constant carrying wave frequency by regulating the modulation coefficient and modulation frequency. Therefore, the magnitude and frequency of output voltage can be controlled. It can ensure that the performance indexs of electric energy are within the acceptable scope. In a word, replacing common synchronous generator with asynchronous synchronous generator can both reduce fuel loss per unit and ensure good quality of electric energy.
