汉语语境:

民国初年桐城派学人马其昶、姚永朴、姚永概等入史馆参与编修清史。他们久居史馆，主修列传，辅以书志，为成一代名史而兢兢业业。他们将“辞章、考据、义理”与“才、学、识”相联系，在编修清史过程中注重史料的搜集、运用，追求史事真实，在文辞上颇守家法。

英语语境:

In the early Republic of China, scholars of Tongcheng School, such as Ma Qichang, Yao Yongpu and Yao Yonggai, were invited to the bureau in charge of writing history and participated in compilation of history of the Qing Dynasty. They spent a long time in this bureau, and their main work was compiling grouped biographies, and they also participated in the compilation of monographs. They did their best to write a famous standard history. They connected "literary works, textual research and argumentation" with the "talent, knowledge and insights". In the process of compilation, they wanted to get the historical truth, and paid great attention to the collection and using of historical data and the writing of historical records.

《史记·货殖列传》历来颇受学者关注，其研究篇目居《史记》各篇研究之首其中最重要的还是经济方面的阐释，着眼于地域文化展开深入研究的前人亦有所涉及，但成文时间较早，且多为地域考证方面的研究。文章在前人研究的基础上，结合对《史记》及司马迁创作精神的认识，从司马迁的地域文化观、经济基础对地域文化的影响、变化的地域文化以及大经济区划中的小经济区划四个方面展开论述。

英语语境:

Collected Biographies of the Commercial and Industrial Management in The Records of the History had been given much attention to, and the number of research papers about this article is more than others in the Records of the History. However, more of the research papers are written from economic aspect. Studies with a focus on regional culture are more of textual researches, published in an earlier time. On the basis of these relevant studies available at present, this article tries to clarify the regional culture in Collected Biographies of the Commercial and Industrial Management from four aspects, including the views of regional culture of Sima Qian, the influence on regional culture from economic, the changing regional culture and small economic divisions in the large region.
