“无直接利益冲突“是近几年来我国出现的一种新的社会矛盾形式。当前的研究提供了三种解释范式：“体制论”或结构论范式、“利益论“或利益博弈论范式、“发泄论“或宣泄论范式，分别代表了政治学、经济学和心理学的学科视角。文章从社会学的角度提出“阶层论“或阶层认同论的解释范式，认为社会阶层分化、阶层意识形成过程中出现的阶层认同矛盾、社会集体认同分裂是导致“无直接利益冲突“现象的深层原因。减少阶层冲突，使社会阶层结构趋于合理化，构建和谐的阶层关系，重塑社会认同，是防范和化解“无直接利益冲突“的方向。

Through analyzing educational background of new provincial party committee members and the 12th to 17th Politburo members, this article concludes that China's leadership has witnessed a higher and higher level of education and that more and more leaders have an educational backgroundof social sciences．Related to this is the Chinese leadership's trilogy of intergenerational change: Revolutionaries-Technocrats-Politicians． This shift is caused by a variety of reasons: the rapid development of education creates conditions for further studies; party cadres change their diplomas from science and engineering majors to arts majors by on-the-job graduate education; as a result of the importance attached by the Party and State to knowledge, highly educated people have more chances to be promoted; there is a shortage of high-level personnel with the educational background of social sciences; it has become a global trend for the politicians to run the country．The above changes and shift have the following positive influences: politicians are more likely to keep up with the times and accelerate the historical process of modernization; the political legitimacy of the Communist Party can be consolidated and qualified authority can get promoted; the leadership with multi-disciplinary background is conducive to scientific decision-making; it can make up for the deficiencies of value rationality in governance; it can improve the Party's ability to govern and promote the advanced nature of Party building; it can promote the development of democracy within the party．
