In the 1980s, Howard Gardner proposed the Theory of Multiple Intelligences.Based on the contributions of biology, psychology, sociology, anthropology, philosophy and pedagogy, it advocated the point of view about "intelligent diversification", breaking the then inertial views for intelligence, and induced tremendous responses from the education field. In many countries, more and more educational researchers studied and practiced this theory as an important task. Since Gardner's multiple intelligences theory introduced into China in 1980s, it has provided a theory for the education of our country, especially the reform of music education. As a branch of music education, under the guidance of multiple intelligences theory, the value orientation of piano teaching has changed in remodeling the value targets of piano teaching, expanding the value basis of piano teaching content, enriching the pursuit of value of the piano teaching methods, and highlighting the completeness of piano teaching.
