在诗礼堂后，古井以西，有一道如同照壁的红色孤立墙壁，墙壁前的石碑上刻有填红隶书“鲁壁”二字。这是为纪念孔子第九世孙孔鲋藏书而建造的。据说秦始皇焚书坑儒时，孔鲋将儒家经书藏于孔子故宅墙壁中，因此，先秦文化的夺目光彩才得以免于那场浓烟烈火。后以“鲁壁”指孔子故宅藏有古文经传的墙壁。

英语语境:

Behind the Shili Hall and to the west of the ancient well, one can see a red isolated wall. On the stone tablet in front of the wall are inscribed the Chinese characters “Lu Bi“, which literally means Lu Wall. This tablet is erected to commemorate Kong Fu, the ninth generation grandson of Confucius who hid books in the wall. It was said that when Emperor Qin Shihuang burned books and buried Confucian scholars during the Qin Dynasty, Kong Fu hid the Confucian classics in the wall in the former residence of Confucius so that the glorious culture of the Pre-Qin period could live through that cruel battle. Later, “Lu Wall“ specially refers to the wall where the Confucian classics were hidden.
