With the support of Dewey reading group, two junior school teachers from the suburbs got an idea of the eductional thoughts of Dewey and focused on the teaching practice of learning by doing after three months of reading Democracy and Education. By the interdisciplinary cooperation of mathematics and labour skills, they formed a series of carpentry education in the seventh grade course of labour skills and mathematic elements in craft design. In the approach to Dewey's educational thought, every member of the group grew up in the reading, practice, reflection and communication.
