社会学习这一概念，又称作“社会中的思维”或“内化”，意在阐释智力活动的社会源头。作为社会文化理论中的一个重要概念，社会学习强调，一种心理功能都会出现两次，首先是在人们之间的心理间平台上，然后是出现在个体内部的心理内部平台上。任何学习从根本上讲都是社会学习的过程，是个体与其所在的社会环境不断交互的结果。
英语语境:
The notion of social learning, also known as "mind in society" and "internalization", aims at explaining the social origin of intellectual activities. As an essential concept in the sociocultural theory, it emphasizes that every psychological function appears twice: first on the interpsychological plane and second on the intrapsychological plane. As the result of interactions between individuals and their social contexts, any kind of learning, in the final analysis, is social learning.
