壮族的鸡卜信仰， 起源于其古代先民的日鸟崇拜， 鸡卜体系的初步形成则是在汉代以前 。 至汉武帝时， 鸡卜曾一度被西汉王朝 推崇为“国卜 ”。 唐宋时代， 随着壮汉民族之间文化交流的日益频繁， 道家思想融入了原有的鸡卜体系之中， 从而使之更臻完善， 并产生了古壮文书写的《鸡卜经 》 手抄本 。 明清时代乃至民国年间， 鸡卜信仰及其演绎的《鸡卜经 》 仍在广西西南和云南东南部地区广为流传， 是独具生命情态的民族文化遗产， 显得弥足珍贵 。 对其进行搜集 、 抢救 、 整理 、 研究和保护， 具有多方面的现实意义和重要价值 。

英语语境:

The chicken divination in Zhuang Nationality belief originates from the worship of the sun and bird．The preliminary forming of the chicken divination system is before the Han dynasty and it is once valued as “national divination” by Hanwu Emperor in west Han dynasty． In the Tang and Song dynasty Taoism is integrated in original divination system which makes the divination more perfect and the chicken divination book written in ancient Zhuang language appears． From the Ming and Qing dynasty to the Republic of China, the divination and its changed forms are still popular in south-west of Guangxi and south-east of Yunnan which are unique and valuable nationality cultural legacy． Therefore, to collect, sort, save, research and protect it has realistic significance．
