The Adaptation Theory by Verschueren emphasizes that the purpose of language choosing is to serve the need of communication since language use is an integrated process based on the inside and outside of a language and individuals make different linguistic choices with different degree of consciousness. Undoubtedly, interpreting, as a process of verbal communication, is actually a more complicated interlinguistic, intercultural and interracial communicative activity. Thus it must involve more variables. It could be concluded that interpreting is also a continuous process of choice making ad adaptation.
