To investigate middle school students'use of mobile phone internet, the characters of their self-control over mobile phone internet use, and its relationship with mobile phone internet addition, a survey was conducted on 300 middle school students with basic information questionaires, revised scales of middle school students mobile phone internet use, and revised questionaires about middle school students'self-control over mobile phone internet use. It has been found that mobile phone internet use was popular among middle school students and it was mainly intended for entertainment. Mobile phone internet addiction indeed existed, but the proportion was small. The total scores of the mobile phone internet addiction show no difference in gender and grade, but the addiction inself differs in gender.
