In the first half of twentieth century, the Hamitic Hypothesis seemed to override the whole academic area of African studies in the Western World. The theory which based on the theory of racial superiority became popular at that time just because of rooting on the western traditional racial idea, and in turn had an affect on the racial concepts and relationship of western people, especially on their views on African races and civilizations. No matter in what purposes those scholars created and advocated the Hamitic Hypothesis, the pseudo-theory, in effect, made it publicly accepted that black people in Africa is barbarous and laggard. We should not only reflect on the racism but also take precaution against being trapped in the new theories of cultural determination.
