Individual psychological problems are generally caused by irrational self-concept. “Client-centered therapy“ advocates that clients should clarify, understand, and accept themselves in certain consultation relationships. In practice, adolescent clients always have the problem of deficient self-guiding ability which generates from the clash between their ideal ego and real ego. Starting from Carl Rogers'“ego theory“ and combining consult cases, the thoughts on the consult practice of the application of “client-centered therapy“ are illustrated. It is shown that helping adolescents construct an appropriate ideal ego is a feasible approach of personality integration.
