在比赛中应保持警觉，努力解读对手的意图。如果对手从底线杀球，那么球速就不会太快，在球飞至本方场地之前，有足够的时间移动就位和击球。如果对手预判到你将吊球，在对手采取行动之前不要立即改变意图，然后突然弹击高远球。突然改变意图会使任何对手都很难应付。

英语语境:

Be alert when you play. Try to read your opponent's intentions. If your opponent smashes from the baseline, the shuttle will slow sufficiently for you to handle it when it reaches your court. If your opponent anticipates that you will drop shot, hold your intentions a little longer until the opponent is committed, then flick with a deep clear. This will cause great difficulty for any opponent.
