To revise the physical Training Standards set by the State, investigations and surveys through questionnaires were carried out on an extensive scale. Tests in 10 training items were conducted among more than 70, 000 students in schools of various grades in 1987 and 1988. The data obtained from these tests were analysed by various statistical operations in order to work out the scoring criteria for all the training items as well as the criteria for overall grading of testees in each age group.
