Fencers can only move forward or backward, and they cannot move to the left or to the right. They have to wear the metallic vest and mask that can cover their legitimate target area. When the legitimate target area is hit, the light of the electric judging apparatus will turn red or green. When the invalid area is hit, the light will turn white.
