Using concentration capability test software, the authors compared the concentration capability of excellent oriented cross-country racers, ordinary oriented cross-country racers and students. The study showed that the excellent orientated cross-country racers'concentration focusing and stabilizing capability is obviously superior to that of the ordinary oriented cross-country racers and common students. Their range of concentration is wider than that of the common students, but not significantly different from that of the ordinary racers. Therefore, the range of concentration and concentration focusing and stabilizing capability can be used as effective indexes for orientated cross-country racing talent selection and training.
