In the basketball games of 15th and 16th Olympic held respectively in 1952 and 1956, many players who are more than 2 meters high joined the game. FIBA used to expand the restricted area (also known as “three points area”) twice, it also regulated that when one team control the ball, the player must throw the ball in 30 seconds. At the beginning of 60 seconds, there are regulations about 10 seconds and balls returned to back court, but the regulation was once terminated because the 17th Olympic games in 1960 changed the half-ground into the midpoint of sideline.
